Dr. Goldfain (nee Kirsch) was born and raised right here in Kankakee County. After graduating from Kankakee Community College in 1980, she left to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Illinois. After working several years as a Health Information Manager, she decided to fulfill her dream of becoming a physician. She attended medical school at the University of South Florida where she also completed her residency in 1995. She practiced in Tampa, Florida at an OB-GYN private practice until 1998 when she decided to come back home with her husband and two young sons. Being near her family and part of this community are very important to her so she is very happy to be practicing medicine in her hometown.

Jennifer is married and has 3 daughters. She and her family moved here from Ohio in 2004. She practiced as a labor & delivery, postpartum and nursery nurse for 11 years prior to receiving her Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification and Master’s of Nursing degree from University of Cincinnati in 2010.
Jennifer and her family reside in a rural area, are active supporters of 4-H and raise goats.
She loves visiting with family and friends and also enjoys boating activities and reading for pleasure.
Global health issues are important to Jennifer, including care of the underserved population. In 2013 she traveled to Haiti and ran a health clinic in Delmas. Jennifer and her team provided health care to the citizens as well as physicals for two orphanages during their stay.
