Medicaid

We currently provide services to Medicaid eligible members. However, due to the evolving Medicaid managed care networks, we ask that you contact our office regarding the plans we accept.

We will file all claims to your insurance plan for processing. Ultimately, the patient is financially responsible for the charges incurred. If we do not receive payment after submission of a clean claim, the patient may be responsible for payment in full. Rarely do we have a claim go completely unprocessed or unpaid. If this should happen, we may ask for your assistance in contacting the insurance plan to assist us in our attempt to secure payment.
If your claim is denied due to additional information needed from the member, we may reach out to you for the additional information required to get the claim paid. If you do not respond to the request from us or your insurance carrier, you will be billed the total amount due.
We will contact your insurance plan to verify benefits and pre-certify all hospital surgical procedures, pregnancies, in-office surgical procedures, IUD’s and Nexplanon for contraception, and some drugs and immunizations. This is not a guarantee of coverage or payment as claims are processed at the time they are received by the insurance plan. If you are not covered by the plan on the date of service you will be responsible for payment in full.
After contacting your insurance plan to determine your out of pocket responsibility, we may ask for unmet deductibles and/or co-insurance prior to surgical procedures or contraception device placement.

For pregnant patients facing high deductibles and co-insurance, we will help calculate a monthly payment option that can be paid throughout the pregnancy to avoid one large bill after delivery.

Medicare billing is very unique and specific. Routine well exams are never paid in full by Medicare and charges are billed differently compared to commercial plans. Patients are often confused when receiving a bill from our office for gynecology services. Please call our insurance department at 815-932-7233 with any questions.
All patients with an account balance will receive a statement every four weeks. If you are unable to pay your balance in full we ask that you contact our office to schedule a payment plan. We are very willing to work with our patients but will not continue to provide services to those who do not make an effort to pay their balance.
